Network Optimization
▶ Introduction
 

The research topic of network optimization mainly relies on the applications of optimization theory on the design and analysis of the resource allocation algorithms for wireless and backbone communication networks. Especially, the convex analysis and decomposition techniques have been utilized to design distributed and optimal algorithms with low complexity and convergence rate, such as power control, MAC scheduling, congestion control and spectrum allocation, to allocate wireless resources across multiple layers, which is generally illustrated in the following figure.
